Villains and TIE Defender Commission for Star Wars Armada

This was a small commission to paint a set of Villains from the Rogues and Villains expansion, and two stands of TIE Defenders.

The Villains

These guys are always fund to paint as the models are good and interesting (especially the Firespray, which is one of my favourite Armada squadrons). With the Aggressor, I’ve come to the conclusion that keeping it simple is the best strategy.

The TIE Defenders.

The brief was to paint them primarily in red with black wing panels, and to have a Darth Vadar squadron leader in dark grey with red wing edges. These guys took a lot more work to get them to look good since red is always a paint to work with – the paint is transparent and gives poor coverage, and mistakes take a few coats to rectify.
