Painted Dark Troopers and Moff Gideon – Star Wars Legion Commission

The Commission Brief

The brief was pretty simple – to paint up Moff Gideon to a good standard and 3 units of Dark Troopers to a reasonable standard.

The bases were to be a grey rock so that they matched my client’s other miniatures.

Red Blue and Green

I painted each unit with a different colour in mind.  I washed the whole miniature in a black+(colour) wash to give a very subtle hint of that colour. The miniatures in each unit were finished off with using the same colour for their eyes and small lights on the front of their torso.

Moff Gideon

I painted Gideon in dark grey all over, and then dry-brushed him in increasing layers up to a light grey.  I then darkened down the different areas on him with a black/grey contrast mix.

Some of his armour received a mild blue glaze to differentiate it slightly from the underlying clothing.
