Painted Luke Skywalker for Star Wars Legion

I wanted to see how I could use contrast paints to quickly paint Luke here. The idea is to be able to paint up units of Rebels (like from the Star Wars Legion core set) with minimal hassle.

Home Made Contrast Paints 

Contrast paints are seriously expensive. So I make my own. 

I built up the yellow-brown clothing colours from a light beige base colour and then applied several layers of increasingly dark and increasingly thin contrast paints.  During this process I did some dry-brushing to apply highlights.

Tone Down the Dry-brushing

Dry-brushing can look really obvious and a bit crude. To mitigate this with Luke, I re-applied a layer contrast paints after I did the dry-brushing to help bring together the highlights with the rest of the colours.
