Painted Fleet Troopers for Star Wars Legion 

I wanted to paint these fleet troopers quite quickly so I could get them on eBay to sell. I ended up taking much more time to paint them than expected,  but I’m pleased with the results.

Notes on the highlights

I used some home-made dark blue contrast paint to shade the blue uniform shirts, and then highlighted them with a bit of stippling using an Artis Opus dry-brush.   I added a tiny bit of dark blue wash to the cracks and creases. 

This was in contrast to the grey on the legs and the jackets – I used a more traditional layering here, which took way longer.   

I’m going to try and use contrast paints and stippling with a dry brush more often to  see if it works as well on other miniatures.
